MacBook Pro 14" M1 with liquid damage (Madrid)
The problem
A freelancer in Madrid spilled coffee on their 14" MacBook Pro with M1 chip while working. The device switched off on its own. At the Apple Store they were told the logic board had to be replaced and the data could not be guaranteed.
What we did
We collected the device in Madrid 24 hours after the initial enquiry. In the lab we performed ultrasonic cleaning of the board, stabilised the affected circuits, and diagnosed that the NAND memory was intact. We extracted the data with direct access to the storage module.
The result
Full recovery: 480 GB of data, including all active projects, email history, and photos from the last three years. Turnaround: 9 days on Standard tier.
"I thought I had lost three years of work. In reality, I lost nothing."
iMac 27" 2019 with logic board failure (Barcelona)
The problem
A photography studio in Gràcia had a 27" iMac that stopped turning on suddenly, with no prior warning and no apparent cause. The regular technician diagnosed a board failure and could do nothing more.
What we did
The client brought the iMac directly to the lab. Diagnosis identified a fault in the power management circuit — not in the storage memory. We repaired the specific component, the iMac booted, and we extracted the data conventionally.
The result
Full recovery of 1.2 TB of RAW photography files. Turnaround: 5 days.
"I had wedding shoots from the last two years. Every single one recovered."
iPhone 13 Pro with no backup (Seville)
The problem
A user in Seville had their iPhone 13 Pro with a completely black screen after a fall. No active iCloud backup — the iCloud storage had been full for months.
What we did
We diagnosed a fault in the screen connector and part of the display circuit. The logic board was intact. We extracted data with controlled access to the device memory.
The result
Partial recovery — 87% of the data, including all photos and the majority of messages. Turnaround: 11 days on Standard tier.
"The photos of my newborn daughter are all there. That was the only thing that mattered."
MacBook Air M2 with inaccessible SSD (Valencia)
The problem
A graphic designer in Valencia with a MacBook Air M2. The system stopped booting after a macOS update that was interrupted midway. Apple offered a reinstallation of the operating system — which would have wiped everything.
What we did
There was no physical damage: the problem was firmware and system partition related. We extracted data directly from storage without any hardware repair, preserving all files before any intervention on the operating system.
The result
Full recovery of all work files. After extraction, Apple reinstalled the system without any risk to the data. Turnaround: 4 days.
"I did not have to choose between having a working Mac and keeping my projects."
Mac mini M2 server with board failure (Bilbao)
The problem
A small business in Bilbao used a Mac mini M2 as a network file server. The device stopped responding after a power outage with no UPS. It was the centralised repository for all company documents.
What we did
Diagnosis identified damage to the power management circuits from the electrical surge. The storage memory was intact. We performed direct extraction from the storage module using Apple Silicon-specific procedures.
The result
Full recovery of 800 GB of company documents, including contracts, invoices, and client database. Turnaround: 48 hours on Urgent tier.
"In 48 hours we had all the files back. The business did not stop for a single day."
